Germany, Heer. An Officer’s Dress Dagger, With Hanger, By Carl Eickhorn Auction Archive New Jersey Volunteer Spanish American(Heer Dolch fr Offiziere mit Gehnge). A very well preserved Heer Officers dress dagger, measuring 40 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 26 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and edges. The blade is plain with the exception of a makers mark on the reverse ricasso of ORIGINAL EICKHORN, SOLINGEN, circumscribing the firms classic logo of a squirrel clutching a sword. It sits securely within a
