Constructed of silvered and patinated tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf, with a central swooping Luftwaffe eagle, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with two visible rivets holding the obverse eagle in place, maker marked with the logo of Assmann & Shne, Ldenscheid, measuring 54. 06 mm (w) x 53. 72 mm (h), weighing 44. 8 grams, accompanied by its period
