In silver gilt and enamels, a white enamelled Maltese cross with smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features St. Sylvester on a blue enamelled field, encircled by a ring inscribed SANC. SILVESTER P. M., the reverse features the crest of the Vatican, encircled by a blue ring inscribed MDCCCXLI MCMV., measures 59. 1 mm (w) x 67. 2 mm (h), worn on a section of neck ribbon, enamel intact, light gilt wear,
