Jostaberry Ostrich Fern and poor production for yearsHardiness: Zone 3. Size: Bush 5ft. Planting: Prefers partial shade and clay soil. Fruit: Purple black firm berries, Pollination: Self pollinating, no companion needed. Use: Excellent for jellies and preserves. Ripening: Mid summer, July to August. Pot: 1 gal Cross between black currants and gooseberries. Larger berries than currents and thornless bush. Berries are high in vitamin C and antioxidants.
