Germany, Heer. An Etched Dress Bayonet, Artillery Personnel, By Carl Eickhorn Hold engraved CHARLES ROBERT AMES 1945(Heer Bajonett). A well preserved Heer commemorative dress bayonet, measuring 345 mm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 200 mm long polished magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and semi sharpened lower edge, with fullers running down the length of each side. The obverse bears a finely detailed acid etched inscription of ZUR ERINNERUNG AN MEINE DIENSTZEIT (IN MEMORY OF MY SERVICE TIME) on a stylized banner, set within
